Is it possible that you can't have two different "thingies" in your sidebar? That's the only thing I can figure. See if it will show up if you put it in a post, maybe, as a test. It could be that there's something wrong with the code, or you somehow didn't grab it all (doubt it, but it happens), something like that. Or, I'm betting my first guess is the right one.

I'll also give it a shot and see if it's just a but with Vox; I can take my Bush countdown out for a little while!
Um...I meant "BUG" with Vox. Sheesh. ;-)
Well, for what it's worth, I got it to work. I had to take the other widget out, though. Maybe you could try it with the WIMZI widget above your...whatchacallit widget (I can't see what it's called right now for some reason).

FYI I'll leave my WIMZI up on my page for a while, until I'm sure you've had a chance to see it, but I'll take it out after that. Not big on having yet another distraction on the interwebs to, well, distract me! ;-)
[this is good]
I tried to double-widget my sidebar a couple of weeks ago and it didn't work. I think we get one embed per bar.

(oooo love that techi-talk!!!)

aw! thanks CG!

Before I did anything, I actually did check Vox's help pages on widgets to see what the scoop was on 2 widgets. It says that you can add more than one but that you might have to play with the sizing a bit. But the second one never showed up to even play with so I was like "huh?".

Yours looks so cute ! I will have to give it a go and see....

according to the vox help page on widgets, we can add more than one in the same code box.
Really? Wow! I did it wrong then. Heh. no surprise....well, I'll keep trying - I wasnt to add one, but I don't want to lose Maukie!!!
typo: I want to add one
Yeah, Dee, I looked at that too, figuring it was doable, but couldn't make it work. Did you try putting the WIMZI code above the other one?

Mine still didn't come out like it was supposed to! It's supposed to say "ba-BOCK!" but it just says "hi." And I corrected my "offline" message twice and the the slash is still there. Stupid computers.

Maybe we're just not holding our mouths right. [/my mom]
I know I'm late but the way I got two different widgets to work on the sidebar is to make sure the vertical size of the first widget is equal to the combined size of the first and second widgets.

haha....Tim you are so sweet and cute! You actually think I know how to do all that! :)

::::wipes tears of laughter from eyes:::

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it, but I have zero clue how to read or write code. I have already given up on having 2 widgets rigtht now until vox comes up with 2 widget boxes, or I learn to read/write code....and my money is on vox! :)

Well, at least I gave you a good laugh! [grin]

yes, Thank you!!!! :)
It's easy to have more than one widget in your sidebar, you just need to allocate space for both of them, or it'll cut off the second. See my blog for an example of 2 widgets (KVOX and last.fm).

Here's what you have to do.

1) Edit your widget area.

2) Before your first widget that you put in the text box, paste in the following:

<div style="height: 900px;">

3) After the second widget that you put in the text box, paste in the following:

</div>

This creates a "box" that is 900 pixels tall that holds anything inside (namely, your 2 widgets). If this isn't tall enough to fit in both widgets, go back and change 900 to 1000, etc. Hopefully this will fix everything you're having problems with!!!
